2018 Volleyball Manitoba Annual General Meeting
All members are invited to the 2018 Volleyball Manitoba Annual General Meeting (AGM) that will take place on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the Sport Manitoba Sport for Life Centre, 145 Pacific Avenue in Winnipeg, starting at 7:00pm.
The evening will begin with a review of the past year and a report on upcoming plans and initiatives, plus a presentation on the ‘Responsible Coaching’ or ‘Safe Sport’ movement by Sport Manitoba, prior to the formal business of the AGM.
The agenda for the meeting will include the following:
- Registration
- Call to Order
- Notice of Meeting
- Establishment of Quorum / Approval of Agenda
- Presentation and Approval of Minutes of 2017 Annual Meeting
- Reports
- Financial Statements
- Appointment of Auditor
- Proposed By-Law Amendment (see below *)
- Election of Directors (see below **)
- Other Business
- Adjournment
* Amendment of By-Law section 10.04:
Nomination of candidates for election to the Board of Directors must be submitted to the Registered Office of Volleyball Manitoba no less than fourteen (14) days prior to the Annual General meeting. Nominations must include written consent of the nominee confirming willingness to stand for election, by physical or electronic signature.
To replace the current wording:
Candidates for election to the Board of Directors shall be nominated either by written or verbal nomination at an Annual General Meeting of Volleyball Manitoba. The consent of a candidate to fill a vacancy on the Board of Directors must be obtained before or at the time such person is nominated for election.
** The AGM will involve the election of 6 Director positions to the Board of Volleyball Manitoba. Nominations are due by August 23. If you are interested in serving on the Board, please see more details HERE.

Member registration for the AGM will open at 6:30pm. We encourage representatives from all member leagues, clubs and teams to attend. Attendance is open but to gauge participation we ask if you could rsvp to volleyball.events@sportmanitoba.ca by September 3, 2018.
