Criminal Record & Child Abuse Registry Checks
Screening of personnel is an important part of providing a safe and secure sporting environment. Consistent with the Volleyball Manitoba Screening Policy, all coaches, team contacts and administrators must obtain both a Criminal Record Search Certificate (CRSC) and a Child Abuse Registry Check (CARC).
It is noted that these checks can take several weeks to complete. Therefore, coaches are encouraged to initiate this process in December (or earlier), prior to the start of the Club season – to ensure compliance and eligibility to participate in Provincial and National Championships.
CRSC and CARC are valid for a period of three years (commencing retroactively to September 1 of the program year in which the CRC and CARC are received).
