Don’t miss out on exciting Canada West men’s volleyball quarterfinal play-offs this weekend being hosted at both the University of Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba.
The University of Winnipeg Wesmen Men wrapped up their regular season last weekend by defeating the previously unbeaten University of Alberta. With the win the Wesmen finished in 4th place and will take on 5th place University of Saskatchewan this weekend at the UW Duckworth Centre. Matches are scheduled for Friday Feb 26 & Saturday Feb 27 at 7:00pm, with a 3rd match scheduled for Sunday if necessary. A special discount of $2 per ticket is being offered to Volleyball Manitoba member teams for the Friday and Saturday games. Meanwhile, across town the University of Manitoba Bisons wrapped up their season with an impressive 19-5 record finishing the regular season in 2nd place. They now host the 7th place Mount Royal University at the University of Manitoba Investors Group Athletic Centre. Matches are scheduled for Thursday Feb 25 and Friday Feb 26 at 7:00pm, with a 3rd match scheduled for Saturday if necessary.
The winning teams from these series will advance to the Canada West final four play-offs scheduled for the University of Alberta on March 4 & 5. The top three teams from Canada West will then qualify for the CIS Championships in Hamilton March 10-12.
