Announcement of 2025-2026 Board of Directors

At our Annual General Meeting in September, five new Directors were elected by our voting members to join the Volleyball Manitoba Board of Directors. We extend our congratulations and a warm welcome to each of them, and look forward to the energy and experience they bring to our organization.

A long-time member of Manitoba’s volleyball community, David played with WinMan Volleyball Club, the Manitoba provincial team, and competed in the 2013 Canada Games. He continued his volleyball journey at the University of Winnipeg, playing five seasons and later contributing as a coach with WinMan and the Canada Games men’s team. Professionally, he is a CPA and holds a Master’s in Accounting with Cognitive Analytics. He currently works as a Senior Manager in assurance at KPMG, with experience serving clients in the non-profit sports sector, including Sport Manitoba and KidSport Canada. Outside of work and volleyball, he is an avid marathon runner, weightlifter, and traveler.

Austin Cadieux-Coombes

With nearly 20 years of experience in the volleyball community, Austin has transitioned from athlete to dedicated coach, working to grow the sport both competitively and inclusively. He currently serves as an assistant coach with the University of Manitoba Bisons Men’s Volleyball Team, coaches at the club and provincial levels, and continues to support his former high school’s volleyball program. He is pursuing a Master’s degree in High Performance Coaching and Technical Leadership from UBC. Beyond volleyball, Austin has been active on various boards, most recently helping develop the sport of dodgeball in Manitoba. Known for his standout shoe collection and commitment to representation, he brings energy, experience, and a passion for excellence to everything he takes on.

She recently completed five seasons with the Wesmen Women’s Volleyball team, proudly representing her city and community. Currently recovering from an ACL injury, Christine is using her newfound free time to give back to the volleyball community that supported her journey. She enjoys spending time outdoors, especially at the family cabin, and is currently working a seasonal role with the City of Winnipeg while exploring permanent career opportunities.
