2016 Volleyball Manitoba Coaching Workshop Series

Volleyball Manitoba is pleased to offer the first annual VM Coaching Workshop Series this March to help sharpen your coaching skills and knowledge, at the same time earning NCCP PD points.
 
Three sessions are planned for next month as follows:
 
Location:              Christ the King School, 12 Lennox Avenue, Winnipeg
Time:                     7:00-8:30pm
Cost:                      $25 per session for members (plus $15 Program Participant Membership for non-members)

Dates, Presenters & Topics:
 
Monday March 7th     
Arnd Ludwig, Canadian Women’s National Team Head Coach
Establishing a foundation for serve reception.  
This session will focus on the key teaching points for serve reception and helping your players understand what is required to execute this very important skill consistently.
 
Monday March 14th   
Cam Johnson, College Jeanne Sauvé Varsity Boys Head Coach
Using 6 on 6 drills appropriately throughout your season
This session will address how to incorporate 6 on 6 drills into you practice based on your seasonal plan.  Cam will explain how different points of focus and progressions are important to maximize the effectiveness of your 6 on 6 drills all season long.
 
Monday March 21st   
Ryan Ratushniak, University of Manitoba Bisons Assistant Coach
Introducing the spin serve and key serving techniques and tactics.
This session will introduce spin serving progressions to use with your players to help them learn and become more efficient servers.  Ryan will also cover keys for developing effective serving technique and tactics for all types of serves.
