Beach Announcement

Volleyball Manitoba is pleased to announce the appointment of Chloe Reimer-McCaughan as head coach of women’s beach volleyball and Dustin Spiring as head coach of men’s beach volleyball for the 2025 Canada Summer Games. Chloe and Dustin bring a wealth of games experience and are returning to their roles for a second time following the 2022 Canada Summer games in the Niagara region.  Both coaches have experience as post-secondary indoor players and are highly accomplished beach volleyball players know across Canada. Volleyball Manitoba is extremely grateful to Chloe and Dustin for their continued support of beach volleyball in Manitoba and to the Canada Games program.

Coach Dustin Spiring-

“I am excited to return to coach the Men’s Beach Volleyball team at the 2025 Canada Summer Games. I look forward to building on the success from the 2022 Summer Games in Niagara with the hope of finding the podium in Newfoundland.  The games are a great experience for athletes and coaches and I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to attend them again. I look forward to working with a fantastic group of athletes, coaches and support staff along the way.”

Coach Chloe Reimer-McCaughan –

I am honored and excited to take up the gauntlet as the head coach for Team Manitoba at the 2025 Canada Summer Games in St. John’s.  The Canada Games, beach volleyball, and mentoring young women are 3 things that I am deeply passionate about. Having the opportunity to combine all 3 is beyond rewarding! I look forward to many hours in the sun and sand (and wind and rain) working to prepare our province’s elite athletes for the unique technical and tactical elements of beach volleyball as well as equipping them to become their own and each other’s coaches.

I am privileged to have been involved in the Canada Games in various roles over the past decade, so I know firsthand that it “takes a village” to bring a coach and their athletes to peak performance. I am grateful for the support I have received from mission staff and Volleyball Manitoba over the years and look forward to the continued partnership as we prepare for St. John’s.

Indoor Head Coach Announcement

Megan Bradshaw from Winnipeg brings her experience as a member of the support staff of the gold medal winning women’s team at the 2017 Canada Games to the Head Coaching role for 2025.  A longtime club coach, Megan’s teams have earned 4 medals at Volleyball Canada Nationals including 2 Championships. As a former coach at River East Collegiate, Megan captures the 2010 MHSAA Varsity Girls Championship and was named coach of the year in 2017. Recently, she has served as an assistant coach at The University of Winnipeg since 2019.

“I am incredibly honored to have been selected as the head coach for the Canada Games Women’s Volleyball Team. I am so grateful for the support and the mentorship that I have received from coaches across Manitoba over the years. Their commitment to the sport of volleyball has not only impacted me personally, but it has elevated volleyball in our province exponentially.  Manitoba has a reputation for being a highly competitive team at the Summer Games, and I look forward to continuing that tradition of excellence. I am excited to get started, and work in partnership with Volleyball Manitoba to prepare our women’s team for the Games in St. John’s in the summer of 2025.”

“Being a part of the Canada Games Women’s Volleyball Team is an extraordinary opportunity, and it is my goal to select our province’s best athletes to showcase their talents on this prestigious national stage.”

Lindsey Habib also from Winnipeg has led the Team Manitoba men to 3 medals including  back to back gold medals at the 2022 and 2023 Canada Cup.  As a club coach he has also led his teams to the national podium 3 times.  A former Head Coach at Red River Polytech, Lindsey also served as an assistant coach to Larry McKay at the University of Winnipeg and has coached high school teams at Transcona and Miles Mac collegiate.

“I am honored to be selected to represent Manitoba as the Head Coach for the 2025 Canada Games.  I can’t wait to start working with the athletes, coaches and support staff on our journey to St. John’s. This has long been a dream of mine, and I am humbled to have the chance to lead this group of young men”

Both Megan and Lindsey will be starting their Head Coaching duties in June 2024.

I’m so excited to get to coach alongside Megan for the next two years. Having female coaches involved in the program is so important when developing our female athletes. I hope my being a part of this team will inspire more past players to be involved in volleyball as a coach.” – Coach Madison Fyvie
