2023 Grad-All Star Voting Now Open!
Voting is now open for the 2023 Grad-All Stars! Each division has a separate voting card, we ask that individuals only vote one time (per division). The voting period will take place from October 18 – November 10, 2023.
The Grad All-Star Event is scheduled for December 9th, 2023, the event will include a Banquet Breakfast/Brunch and Awards Ceremony, followed by the Games. The 4 Teams available include ‘AAAA’ Boys, ‘AAAA’ Girls, ‘A’-‘AAA’ Boys, and ‘A’-‘AAA’ Girls.
Stefan Savoie Memorial Scholarship
Stefan Savoie inspired passion in the game of Volleyball in both indoor and beach and were staples in his life. He was the energy on the court, he was the player who changed momentum, he was the athlete that every coach knew was needed to inspire passion on the court. Stefan excelled in both disciplines of the sport he loved. This was evident through his experiences on his high school team, his club teams, his provincial teams and his university team. The pinnacle of his career was being with Team Canada and representing Manitoba at the Canada Games in Beach Volleyball. His competitive nature, compassion for his teammates and thirst to excel was never compromised. This scholarship is to recognize athletes who represent that passion for the sport of volleyball, just as Stefan did in his life.
This scholarship will be awarded annually at the Graduating All Star Banquet to a Grade 12 volleyball athlete.
Criteria:
• Must be a Manitoba Resident
• Must be a Grade 12 student
• Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1000 to 1 student annually for Post Secondary Education.
Nomination Process
Athletes must be nominated by an individual who is able to provide the following:
1. 150 word mini biography of the athlete.
2. Letter of support from a coach, teammate, teacher or other.
3. Video submission demonstrating the athlete’s court presence, spirit of sport, team and passion during practices and/or matches.

Call for Volunteer Selection Committee Members
The Grad All-Star Selection process is as follows:
Coaches such as yourselves nominate athletes. Upon the closing of nominations, a voting ballot is created and dispersed. Coaches and others cast their votes for players within their division. These votes are tallied, and a Selection Committee of Coaches selects and forms the two teams from those nominated athletes.
Volleyball Manitoba requires Volunteers to fill these Grad All-Star Selection Committees (1 Committee for each of the 4 Teams). If you are interested in joining a Selection Committee, please let us know by November 8th, 2023.

Committee responsibilities include
– Making final team selections based on voting results and forming teams from those players selected
– Selecting players for the All-Manitoba Teams and selecting an MVP (for ‘AAAA’ Divisions)
– Selecting the Coach of the Year within their Division
