Congratulations to 48U Wesmen on winning the inaugural Wezer Bridle Cup – Manitoba Open A-Division! 48U Wesmen defeated Jr. Wesmen 18U in the final. On the B-Side, Reacharounds defeated Bandits in the B-Side Final. Overall, nine teams participated in the event at the new Calvin Christian gym in Transcona. Thanks to everyone for participating, and a big thank you to the WMVL for their support in this event.

Wezer Bridle was an ambassador, an icon and a founder of the sport of Volleyball in Manitoba and in Canada. Wezer passed away in January of 2015 and this tournament will be an opportunity to celebrate his life and recognize his life-long contributions to volleyball. Funds raised from this tournament will help establish a Wezer Bridle Volleyball Support Fund that will provide assistance towards volleyball participation fees to young athletes with financial barriers.
