Youth Club

Club volleyball is one of the fastest-growing parts of Manitoba’s volleyball community.

Club Volleyball is one of the fastest-growing and most significant components of Manitoba’s volleyball landscape, providing athletes with a premier pathway to develop their skills, compete at a high level, and pursue their volleyball goals.

With volleyball continuing to grow as one of Manitoba’s most popular sports, Volleyball Manitoba (VM) is committed to strengthening a club system that delivers high-quality training, competition, and athlete development opportunities across the province.

Training Season

The Club Volleyball season runs from January through May, with athletes preparing for the season through the December tryout period following the school volleyball season. In addition, eligible 17U and 18U athletes may participate in Volleyball Manitoba’s Early Signing Period in August, providing an opportunity for athletes and clubs to begin the recruitment and roster-building process ahead of the traditional December tryouts.

Province-wide participation

Over 50 clubs and more than 270 teams make up Volleyball Manitoba’s thriving Club Volleyball system, creating a province-wide network of athletes, coaches, and clubs dedicated to athlete development and competitive excellence. Serving athletes from 13U through 18U, the system provides a structured pathway for athletes to develop their skills, compete at increasingly challenging levels, and pursue opportunities at the provincial and national levels. The scale and continued growth of the club system reflect the strength of volleyball in Manitoba and the significant demand for high-quality training and competition opportunities.

Volleyball Manitoba supports clubs

Volleyball Manitoba plays a central role in supporting and strengthening the club system by providing governance and resources for clubs, overseeing registration and compliance, facilitating competition, organizing tournaments, hosting the Club Volleyball Provincial Championships, and supporting Manitoba teams as they compete at the Volleyball Canada Youth National Championships.

Through a strong and growing club system, Volleyball Manitoba is committed to creating a premier volleyball environment where athletes can develop, compete, and reach their potential, while supporting clubs and coaches in delivering exceptional volleyball experiences across the province.

Clubs operate as independent entities

Volleyball Manitoba does not govern or oversee the business operations of independent volleyball clubs. This includes decisions regarding fees, playing time, team management, and other operational matters. Each club operates as its own entity, setting its own policies and procedures. It is the responsibility of athletes and their families to thoroughly research clubs, ask questions, and understand expectations before committing to a team. Volleyball Manitoba does not entertain complaints related to club management, as these matters should be addressed directly with the respective club.
