Volleyball Canada Women’s National Excellence Program (NEP)

The Women’s NEP program is a full-time daily training environment for grade 10-12 female athletes starting in September 2024 through to December 2024, at the Richmond Olympic Oval in Richmond, BC. The National Excellence Program (NEP) is designed to prepare athletes to perform at the highest level of our sport and support the women’s national team towards the Olympic and World Championship podium. The program offers individual technical and tactical skill development as well as team play development that will lead to success at the international level.

This year’s NEP identification process will be a two-step process. The first step is a virtual selection process on the GMTM platform. Athletes will be prompted to submit basic physical testing data, a highlight video and full game/set footage which will be reviewed by the selection committee. From there, selected athletes will be invited to attend in-person, regional ID camps throughout Canada in early 2024. Final selection of NEP athletes will take place in late March 2024.

Athlete profile applications will be accepted until November 20, 2023 on the GMTM platform. All athletes in Grade 9-11 who have interest in NEP and/or the WNT youth development pathway are strongly encouraged to apply for identification.
