We’re Hiring: Term Program Manager (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Volleyball Manitoba is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as our Term Program Manager during a maternity leave.

This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact on the future of volleyball in Manitoba. The successful candidate will oversee the planning and delivery of our Team Manitoba and Provincial Performance programs while supporting coach development, major events, and high-performance initiatives across the province.

We’re looking for an organized, collaborative, and proactive professional who is passionate about sport, enjoys managing multiple projects, and thrives in a team environment. Whether you’re looking to expand your leadership experience, transition into the sport sector, or take on an exciting new challenge, we’d love to hear from you.

This term maternity leave position offers the opportunity to lead significant provincial programs, work alongside a dedicated team, and make a lasting impact on athletes, coaches, and the volleyball community.

Team Manitoba Roster Announcement!

Between June 1–16, 2026, Volleyball Manitoba hosted its Team Manitoba Final Selection Camps, bringing together athletes from across the province for a highly competitive tryout process at all age groups.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all athletes who participated and showcased their hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport throughout the selection process.

With the final rosters now selected, we are excited to begin the Team Manitoba season and look forward to supporting our athletes as they continue their development. We would also like to wish our Team Manitoba Gold teams the very best as they represent Manitoba at the 2026 Canada Cup in Regina. We are proud of all our athletes and can’t wait to see them compete on the national stage.

2026 High School Beach Open!

Volleyball Manitoba is excited to share details for the 2026 High School Beach Open, taking place May 27–30, 2026.

This is a fun beach volleyball tournament featuring Junior Varsity and Varsity:

Girls 2’s and 3’s
Boys 2’s and 3’s

Event Schedule & Locations:

Junior Varsity – May 27 & 28
Locations: Maple Grove Rugby Park and Sargent Park

Varsity – May 29 & 30
Locations: Maple Grove Rugby Park and Sargent Park

Registration is now closed.

Volleyball Manitoba recognizes that there is overlap between the High School Beach Open and the Volleyball Canada National Championships for some athletes. This was not a decision made lightly. A number of alternative scheduling options were explored; however, due to the broader provincial and national competition calendar, along with logistical constraints, no viable alternatives were identified that would avoid all conflicts. As a result, the event dates will remain as scheduled. We understand that this may require some athletes to make difficult decisions, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to provide meaningful opportunities within a very condensed and complex competition calendar.

Volleyball Manitoba enacts new Safe Sport measures

As of April 1st, 2026, the Government of Manitoba’s Protecting Youth in Sports Act is now officially enacted. As a result, all Provincial Sport Organizations (PSOs) are now mandated to adopt Sport Manitoba’s Safe Sport Policy Manual. In compliance with the Act, our organization has formally adopted the following Sport Manitoba safe sport policies:

1) Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy;

2) Discipline and Complaints Policy;

3) Alternate Dispute Resolution Policy;

4) Appeal Policy;

5) Respect in Sport Policy; and

6) Coach Screening Policy Minimum Requirements.

These policies outline critical information for all stakeholders including, but not limited to, behaviour expectations for participants, procedures for handling complaints of maltreatment, disciplinary measures that can be imposed if someone is found to have engaged in maltreatment, and coach education and screening requirements.

These policies apply to all PSO-sanctioned clubs, teams, programs, and individuals operating under Volleyball Manitoba’s authority. This means all clubs must comply with The Protecting Youth in Sports Act and safe sport policies.

Importantly, all allegations of maltreatment must be reported directly to an Independent Third Party (ITP) mechanism. Member clubs, teams, or individuals must not manage, assess, or investigate maltreatment complaints internally. The ITP is responsible for receiving, reviewing, and managing all allegations of maltreatment, ensuring independent, unbiased, and safe handling of each case.
