Volleyball Manitoba Hall of Fame

The Volleyball Manitoba Hall of Fame was established to formally recognize those who have made a significant contribution or who have demonstrated outstanding performance in the sport of Volleyball in the province of Manitoba. In this effort to recognize these individuals and teams, it is our intention to create awareness and appreciation for those who are involved in Volleyball as young competitors, coaches, officials, volunteers, and fans. Inductees into the Volleyball Manitoba Hall of Fame will be announced annually at the Volleyball Manitoba Awards Banquet.

Three categories have been established to recognize individuals and teams:

  1. Athlete
  2. Builder
  3. Team

The Volleyball Manitoba Hall of Fame Selection Committee accepts nominations from the public for induction into the Hall of Fame year round.  Selection occurs in January for inductions into the Hall of Fame for that respective year. Nominations must be made by the Volleyball Manitoba Hall of Fame nomination form.  To be eligible for nomination, any individual or team must meet the minimum requirements listed above.

The committee also solicits equipment, uniforms, photographs, newsclippings, scrapbooks and other historical memorbilia for display at the awards ceremony in May.  With a long range objective of establishing a permanent Hall of Fame and Museum.  The committee is also interested in speaking with anyone who has any historical information on the sport in Manitoba or individuals who we may want to interview.
